Bikini Care 101

Part of our promise to the planet is to design garments that contribute to a sustainable wardrobe. Not only do we design our products with eco-friendly recycled materials, but we design them to last. The bathing suit industry is one of biggest contributors to the fast fashion industry and we want zero part of it.

Here are 3 ways proper bikini care helps the planet:

1. Saves Water

Washing your bikini in the shower tremendously reduces water waste. Need we say more?

2. Increases Longevity

Hand washing your suits keep the elastic tight and the colors bright. Proper care increases the life span of your suit allowing it to be worn over a much longer period of time. Ultimately, building a wardrobe that lasts reduces fast fashion and contributes to a sustainable wardrobe.

3. Reduces Energy

One drying cycle can use up to 6,000 watts of energy! Not to mention, the dryer is a bathing suit killer, taking years off your garments. Always, always, ALWAYS hang dry your suit. We don't want to tell you what to do, but you should definitely hang dry your suits.
