RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

Thank you for shopping with our small family owned business. We hope you absolutely love your purchase but understand you may need to start a return or exchange.


We are happy to offer returns and exchanges 30 days after your order has been delivered.   

To be eligible for a return, item(s) must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn, unaltered, unused with the original tags intact. Items marked 'Final Sale' at the time of purchase, digital downloads, gift cards, and shipping fees will not be eligible for returns or refunds.


Refunds will be issued back to the original form of payment and charged with a return processing fee of $8.95 per return order that goes directly to help cover the cost of postage.

If you are unhappy with the fit of your suit or maybe we just missed the mark on the design, we highly encourage you to share your notes and experiences with us at hello@rootedswim.com! We take all feedback into heavy consideration with our designs. In fact, your feedback is crucial to our journey to making the best possible swimwear and is greatly appreciated.

  • Items are eligible for returns or exchanges 30 days after the delivery date.

  • Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on the following items:

    - Items marked "FINAL SALE"
    - Giveaway or gifted items
    - Items purchased with a discount of 40% or more
    - Gift Cards
    - Digital Downloads
    - Shipping and Postage fees

  • We will update you with a return status once we receive and inspect your purchase. Once approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method  

    Please allow 3-5 business days for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. 

  • The return processing fee directly helps cover the cost of the shipping label we send for your return. 

    Orders eligible for a one-time exchange will not be charged a return processing fee. The return processing fee only apply to orders being returned for a refund.

  • We recommend to a receipt when dropping off your return.

    We do not recommend placing your return in a drop or mail box. If your return is lost and you have no proof of the return being sent out, we are unable to process your return.

  • Orders placed directly on our website: We work to get you your new product as soon as possible! If you need a change made to your order, email hello@rootedswim.com as quickly as possible. We will do our best to make accommodations but cannot guarantee changes can be made after the order has been placed.

    Orders placed on Facebook/Instagram/TikTok: Unfortunately, orders placed through third-party platforms such as TikTok, Facebook & Instagram do not allow us to change, edit, or cancel orders.

  • Exchanged items will be shipped out 2-3 business days after we receive your items.  

EXCHANGES

Starting an exchange

Orders placed through platforms such as Facebook, Instagram or TikTok are not eligible for exchanges due to our inability to make changes to third-party orders.

We offer free one-time exchanges, which can be done through our return portal or via email. 

You can exchange any item from your order but can only make the exchange once. If you are not satisfied with the exchanged product, you may start a return and place a new order.

Exchange by Email


To start an exchange by email, contact us at hello@rootedswim.com with your full name, order number, and the items you would like to exchange.

SELF-SERVICE EXCHANGE

Using your email, log into the Self-Service Exchange portal, and list the item and size you would like to exchange for in the "Notes" section (see example).

Once approved, we’ll send you a return shipping label and instructions on where to drop off your package. 

 

Exchange orders must be dropped off at the postal service within 7 days of the request. If not, the items will be released back into inventory and we cannot guarantee it will be available by the time we receive the order.

RETURNS

Starting a Return

To start a return, contact us at hello@rootedswim.com with your full name and order number, or log into our self-service return portal using your email address. 

Once approved, we’ll send you a return shipping label and instructions on where to drop off your package. 

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.   

Refunds will be issued back to the original form of payment and charged with a return processing fee of $8.95 per return order.

Shipping fees are not eligible for refunds.

DAMAGES & ISSUES

All products are inspected before shipping to ensure every product upholds our standards.

In the unlikely event that a garment is faulty, contact us as soon as possible at hello@rootedswim.com.

Please include images of the faulty/damaged product so we can sort out any issues quickly and efficiently. 

We are not liable for any damages caused by mishandling or normal wear and tear. Please see our swimsuit care instructions to keep your swimsuits at their best. 

We are not liable for packages lost in the mail. If you suspect a package has been lost or stolen, a claim will need to be filed with USPS.
